There should be more polls about things like this and fewer featuring Republican Iowan voters and Barack Obama's birth certificate. LOVEFiLM, a British movie rental service, took an informal survey of movie fans to find out which films people lie about actually having seen.

What does this tell us about people? Well, based on this list, it says that people are a little more ashamed when they haven't seen a universally revered film as opposed to a not-so-known piece.
Despite being a big film buff, I have to say I haven't actually seen one of the movies on this list. I'd like to say I wouldn't lie about it, but I can understand the impulse because I've done it before with different flicks.
