Travel Back to 2016, When 'Sully' and 'The Accountant' Were King
In the fall of 2016, the world was a more innocent place. Clint Eastwood's Sully taught us all to believe again in the power of flight, and Gavin O'Connor's The Accountant was a quirky crime drama with Ben Affleck as a pudgy, doofy killing machine.
Now it's September of 2017, and the In Reel Deep Podcast is using its wayback machine to revisit those movies in detail. Why, you ask? Because they don't make "sorta bad, sorta good" movies as often as they should. Sully and The Accountant, for all their flaws, make you sit up and take notice. In an otherwise subpar summer movie season, Andrew and Steve can think of no better reason to podcast.
