Casting Kurt Russell as Santa Claus was the coup of the holiday season for Netflix’s The Christmas Chronicles, as was releasing the movie on Thanksgiving. It gave everyone a chance to get a belly full of wine and then fire up the streaming service to watch a sexier version of Santa lift a Hallmark movie to new heights.
