'The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show' Could Use A Little More Variety

After logging on with Disney+ and Netflix, it’s time to try Prime Video’s big holiday offering: The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show. And while Musgraves is a talented singer and performer, something tells me they won’t be knocking down her door to host additional variety shows anytime soon.

Yes, despite guests like Fred Armisen, James Corden, and Kendall Jenner, this comedy-concert combo is a bit of a rushed bore. There are Christmas tunes and “clever” bits, but it rarely tries to wow its audience. What does that mean for Amazon’s streaming service? And even though Andrew and Steve are a bit curmudgeonly, did special guest and Christmas guru Sam Johnson find it heartwarming?
