Must Be the Season of 'The Witch'

In what could cheekily be called Ye Olde Hereditary, writer-director Robert Eggers brings you to 1630s New England in his feature film debut and presents one of the more scarier situations imaginable: what if your family is falling apart and losing their minds and there’s no one around to help? And even more spookily, what if you end up benefiting from it?

There hasn’t been a movie that intertwines history and horror quite like The Witch, which makes it the perfect option close out Horror Month on the In Reel Deep Podcast. Andrew even dons his Colonial Scholar cap to explain just how accurate this film was, and why it’s one of the best horror options of the last decade.
